Data/AI Engineer

DESCRIPTION & RESPONSIBILITIES:
ZAP Solutions is seeking a junior to mid-level Data Engineer / AI Engineer to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with minimal professional experience but a strong foundation in data concepts and a passion for AI. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and grow while contributing to our data and AI solutions.
Responsibilities:

Assist in building, maintaining and optimizing data pipelines that process and transform raw data into usable “analysis/AI-ready” formats

Support the implementation and maintenance of machine learning models and AI workflows

Collaborate with sales, account management, software engineers, data engineers, etc. on AI/ML projects

Document data architecture, pipelines, and processes; assist with “scale out” of AI processes

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Requirements:

1-3 years of closely related experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)

Basic understanding of machine learning concepts

Basic programming skills in Python (pandas, list comprehension, etc. as well as ML packages)

Familiarity with SQL and database concepts, including feature engineering

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS-preferred, Azure, or GCP)

Client Service Associate

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide programmatic and technical support for the AMP Admissions Management + Decision Support software solution and supporting products by managing client inquiries, troubleshooting performance issues and ensuring adherence to ZAP Solutions/Client policies and procedures.
The Client Service Associate will possess the appropriate level of admissions/business acumen, while also having a deep-level of product expertise around the features, functionality and capabilities of the AMP software solution. Relatively speaking, the associate is (typically) not a developer/technologist, but they are responsible for developing and managing project plans and priorities, and directing the software engineer assigned to configure/customize the AMP installations and provide on-going support needs.
The associate serves as the client’s (primary) single point of contact with ZAP Solutions and they communicate with the admissions and IT teams via phone, email, IM and scheduled status calls throughout the term of the engagement.
Account Management: Responds professionally, accurately, and expediently to inquiries from constituents and other key audiences via telephone, email, IM:

Serve as primary point of contact between client teams (admissions + IT) and ZAP’s internal resources (software engineering team)

Troubleshooting and Diagnosing Technical Problems:

Provide extensive software support for AMP system and supporting products.

Works with school admissions and technical staff to collect information and data to be used in troubleshooting software, hardware and performance issues.

Analyzes information and data to diagnose cause and provide resolution.
Resource Management:

Participates in project workgroups. Recommends updates, changes, and improvements for AMP software and policies.

Provides data for troubleshooting, general analysis and historical research aimed at enhancing service levels.

Reviews and participates in the ongoing development and maintenance of procedure manuals and operational resources.
Training:

Provides software and policy training for schools via telephone, webcast or in person.
Outreach:

Attends conferences and other national forums aimed at the graduate + medical school application process. Staff’s booths in exhibit areas.
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience in a customer oriented, technical support environment. Personal or professional experience with college admissions process and academia a plus.

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a mobile developer at ZAP Solutions, this will be an incredible opportunity to steer our mobile development efforts and take on several new start up projects. The mobile developer position will be required to design, develop, test, document, deploy, and support mobile apps on both platforms (iOS and Android). Attention to design, performance, user experience, scalability, clean and documented code is required. Candidate should have experience designing, developing and launching mobile web-service driven apps in the Apple App Store and Android Market.
Candidate must have an incredible sense of modern web and user experience design, graphics, layout, transitions and feedback on the mobile platforms and a mastery of variations on mobile platforms (I/O, display, audio, libraries, etc) are a must. Must be able to work closely with back end developers and designers on app design and integration.
Required Skills:
